Giving information about the decisions of the cabinet, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said that the money will be transferred directly to the accounts of the employees through direct benefit transfer. He informed that immediate transfer of money has been ordered.
Earlier, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had announced a special festival advance scheme for government employees. Through this scheme employees will be able to take Rs. 10 thousand in advance.
30 lakh employees will benefit
The Union Cabinet has approved productivity and non-productivity linked bonuses for the financial year 2019-20. This announcement will benefit 3 million non-gazetted employees.
Union Minister Prakash Javadekar, while giving information about the decision of the cabinet, said that before Vijayadashami or Durga Puja, the payment of bonus of Rs 3737 crore to 30 lakh employees of the central government will start immediately.
